Kirk David Arnold passed away on January 6, 2022. He was born in Snyder, Texas on March 27, 1958, to Erich and Betty Jean Arnold.
Kirk served as a friend, mentor, and role model to many, always leading by example in both his personal and professional life. Kirk never met a stranger; he could talk to anyone about anything and often found a way to pepper in a good joke. His close friends know that Kirk was a storyteller and usually told the same stories over and over – it’s how we knew they were good!
Kirk was happiest when he was surrounded by family. He was a wonderful husband, brother, son, uncle, cousin, but most of all, Kirk was the best father to his two sons, Dusty and Jack and baw baw to his six grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting trips with Dusty and recently was able to get on the golf course with Jack during a visit to Chicago. Kirk was the best baw baw to his grandchildren. He was actively involved in their lives and would do pretty much anything to make them laugh.
Kirk married the love of his life and best friend, Melanie (Grantham) on October 26, 2012, and anyone who met Kirk or Melanie knows that the two of them didn’t just love each other, they respected and truly cared for each other.
Kirk will be deeply missed by all those who knew him. Kirk is survived by his loving wife, Melanie, his sons, Dusty (Ashley) and Jacky (Nicole), his brother Mark (Connie), his sister, Cheryl (Billy), his grandchildren, Jax, Knox, Dylan, Maggie, Merrick and Landry, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Kirk is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Dorenda (Wes), his nephew, Grant Burgess and his great-nephew, Tyler Barton.
