Kristie Lynn Gumm, 59, surrounded by her loving family left her home in Granbury, Saturday, July 25, 2015 to be with the Lord.
A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. at Wiley Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 with Dr. R.D. Noel officiating.
Burial will follow at Acton Cemetery.
A visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the funeral home.
Kristie was born in Long Beach, California on March 30, 1956 and raised by her parents Bill Bowden and Edna Hansen. She met her husband Bobby Gumm in El Paso, TX and they married there on November 7, 1987. Together, they relocated to Granbury to be closer to the water; she enjoyed riding Jet Skis and boating. She worked as a deputy clerk for the Hood County Clerk’s office for 8 years. Kristie was a proud member of the Cleburne Baptist Temple.
Kristie leaves behind her husband Bobby Gumm; daughter Sonnie Cox and husband Greg; grandson Brenden Gregory Cox; father Bill Bowden and wife Josie; sisters: Martha Dumas and husband Greg, Edna Morphew; brothers: Billy Bowden and wife Nikki, Brian Bowden; mother in-law Hilda Gumm; sisters in-law: Sherrie Peebles and husband Jackie, Amy Shultz; brothers in-law: Monty Gumm and wife Julie, Darrel Gumm, Buddy Gumm; numerous nieces and nephews; special dear friends: Tammy Chikavanga, Chris Hernandez; and her feathery / furry babies Katie Kay, Breezy, Choo Choo and Mr. Kitty.
