Larry Ernest White, 70, of Saginaw, Texas passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021 in his home. Larry was born December 22, 1950 in Fort Worth, Texas to Earnest Junior White and Evelyn (Hall) White. Larry married his soul mate, Anita White, in Fort Worth, Texas in May 2001. Larry proudly served our country in the United States Navy.
Larry served in the Navy and received several different medals consisting of a National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 bronze stars, and a Vietnam Campaign Medal. He took great pride in serving his country. After the service he was a Security Guard, a Machine Operator and an avid Fisherman. Larry was a lifetime Dallas Cowboy fan on Sundays, he and his brothers would be on the phone back and forth.
Larry was very much a family man and wanted to make sure his baby, Anita, was always taken care of. You did not see one without the other, once they met. He enjoyed family gatherings and card games. He always remembered to send birthday, anniversary and holiday wishes to everyone. He loved to write his thoughts down and express them with his love. Sometimes he would make you something that had special meaning to you and present it to you. He loved creating new things out of old. He was a collector of many items, his prize collection, being his comic books and knives. He loved to get out on the boat with his brother Mark and see who caught the most or biggest fish. He and Anita would always try to have a card game weekly and sometimes they would get very competitive. You always had a fun time and laughter for hours. If you ever needed anything, you could call Larry and he would be there in a minute.
Larry and Anita White are members of the Westworth Village Baptist Temple located at 206 Koldin Lane, Westworth Village, Texas 76114. Pastor Mayberry has been a lifelong family friend and they were married there and all the people there hold a special place in Larry’s memories and heart.
