Larry V. Witt, 74, passed away on Friday; October 2, 2020.
He was born November 14, 1945 in Slaton, TX to W.L. and Alene Wylie Witt.
Larry owned several of his own businesses and loved music and was a fabulous musician from a very young age. He could play anything by ear on just about any instrument. Larry was still practicing and playing music until he no longer could up to just a few weeks ago. He could and would tease and joke with you about anything. Larry liked to read books, and he loved history, but most of all, he loved his family dearly, and his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, his son, Larry V. Witt II and by two brothers, Edgar Witt and Danny Witt.
Larry is survived by his wife of 39 years, Rosie Witt of Cleburne; children, Darryl Hubble of Cleburne, Alan Hubble and wife Rungarun of Honolulu, Jodi Doyle of Cleburne and Angela Morrison and husband Ronald of Gunter, TX; seven grandchildren, Chance, Sydney, Grayson, Bailey, Ryan, Kenlee and Charlie; two great-grandchildren, Casen and Colt as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM. Sunday; October 4, 2020 at Squaw Creek Cemetery in Rainbow under the direction of Wiley’s Funeral Home in Glen Rose.

My late brother, Carl, was one of Larry's musician friends back in their High School days. They jammed together many times prior to Carl joining the Navy and the other musicians becoming The Heartbeats, also. Larry had a lot of musical talent.
