Laura Fayrene Farley was born in Cromwell, Iowa on February 4, 1925. After moving to and growing up in the Rio Grande Valley, she attended college at UNT. She married the love of her life, Peter Robert Farley in 1949. They lived in Fort Worth where she taught music with Fort Worth ISD for 37 years. After retiring, she and her husband moved to De Cordova Bend Estates in Granbury. She enjoyed living there for 45 years and was very active in her church, the First United Methodist Church of Granbury. While sharing her love of music, she volunteered in a variety of organizations including Melody Belles, her church choir, The Granbury Civic Choir and other organizations.
She is survived by her only son, Peter Michael Farley and his wife Quita; two granddaughters, Jennifer Samson and Rebekah Covington and their husbands as well as a niece and two nephews in California.
Fayrene was preceded in death by her husband Peter Robert Farley in 2000.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM. Saturday; February 6, 2021 at Acton Cemetery in Granbury under the direction of Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury.
