GRANBURY — Laurence “Larry” Richard Chamberlain, 70, passed away Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 in Granbury. Memorial service: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Church in Granbury. Memorials: First Christian Church, 2109 Hwy 377 W., Granbury, TX 76048 or Freedom Hospice.
Laurence was the son of Richard Carl and Alice Louise Linden Chamberlain. He served in the U.S. Army and worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 39 years, retiring in 1999 as Supervisor of Special Operations. He married Connie Larkin on Oct. 1, 1966 in Marysville, Kansas. He was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, church deacon and property chairperson. He liked fishing, shooting, family, grandchildren, was a tool man, antique cars and outdoor sports.
Survivors: Wife, Connie; daughters, Gwyn Greene and husband, David of Fort worth, Beth Winters of Granbury, twins, Kelly Jenkins and husband, Jeff of Clermont, GA. and Kay Mills of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Jordon and Grable Mills of Fort Worth, Nathan and Jamie Winters of Granbury and Joshua and Matthew Jenkins of Cleveland, GA.; sister, Joan Roberts and husband, Jim of Seneca, KS.; mother-in-law, Marge Larkin of Marysville, KS.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
