Lawrence “Carl” Brown

Lawrence “Carl” Brown, 76, of Granbury passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022.  Graveside service: 2:30 PM, Friday, February 11, 2022, Holly Hills Memorial Park.  Visitation: 1:30 PM – service time, Friday, February 11, 2022, Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury.

Carl was born on July 3, 1945 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Maligan and Norma Brown.  He married Anita Atcheson on April 16, 1966 in Baton Rouge.  He was a strong family man who loved the Lord and made sure his family was raised in the church.  He was a deacon and taught Sunday School at North Baton Rouge Church of Christ, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  He was a member of downtown Granbury Church of Christ

Carl received his master’s degree from Mississippi State University and was a department manager there.  He worked hard and took on multiple jobs to take care of his family and he adopted those who needed help.

Carl had the sweetest smile; was the best peace maker ever and was truly loved.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Loraine Brown, brother, Buster Brown, and baby grandson, Lawrence Carl Brown III.

Carl is survived by his loving wife: Anita Brown, children: Lawrence “Carl”” Brown, Jr. and his wife Melissa, Kevin Jonathan Brown and his wife Angela, and Tracie Annette Jones and her husband Russ, grandchildren: Colin Brown, Hope Brown, Kimberly Brown, Andrew Brown, Rayna Brown, Ever Brown, Jayden Brown, Brooklyn Brown, Makayla Jones, Alyssa Jones, Adilyn Jones, Caleb Jones, and Charity Jones, sister: Daisy Berteau, and brother: Larry Wayne Brown.
