Lee Archer Joyner Jr., 60, passed away in his sleep at home on Sunday, March 10, 2013.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. The family will be available to greet guests following the service. Visitors are welcome later at the Martinec residence, 7113 Stonehaven Court, Fort Worth, 76179.
Memorial gifts may be made to St. Andrews Episcopal Church or a charity of choice.
Lee Archer Joyner Jr. was a lifelong resident of Fort Worth and a 1970 graduate of Haltom High School, Texas Christian University in 1974 and Southern Methodist University Law School in 1977. He was an assistant district attorney in Tarrant County in his early years, and later made a career as a defense attorney. He was compassionate and artistic, and had a photographic memory. He had a great appreciation for guns, Harleys, Corvettes and cars in general, and a great sentiment and love for people and music. He was a member at St. Andrews Episcopal Church where he enjoyed singing in the choir. He claimed everyone he met as a friend.
He is survived by his parents, Lee Archer Joyner Sr. and Betty Jane Jefferson Joyner; sister, Dinah Joyner Martinec and husband, John G. “Gary” Martinec, whom Lee called his “brother”; nephews, Case Martinec and his wife, Laura Madsen Martinec, and Lake Martinec; and a niece, Ceil Martinec; all of whom rejoice in Lee’s everlasting life in heaven!
