Lee Fuller Rash, 77, of Granbury, passed away on July 13, 2020.
Lee was born in LaFayette, Alabama to the late Charlie Allen and Fannie Beatrice Fuller on January 10, 1943. Lee graduated from LaFayatte High School and received a BA in English from Jacksonville State University. She married Andy Rash in 1969 in LaFayette, AL, and they relocated to Granbury in 1971.
Lee was an English teacher until 1978 when she began working alongside Andy at their photography studio full time for 43 years. Lee served as “first lady” of Hood County from 2003-2010 while Andy was Hood County Judge.
Lee was active in Acton United Methodist Church, playing the piano and organ, singing in the choir, playing handbells, serving on the building committee, and making baby quilts for church newborns. Lee was fearless, becoming both a private pilot and certified scuba diver. Lee was an avid quilter and was famous for her friendly smile and welcoming personality.
Lee was preceded in death by her brothers Mack Fuller and LaFayette Fuller and his wife Joann.
Lee is survived by her husband Andy Rash, her son Mark Rash and daughter-in-law Connie Rash of Midlothian, grandsons Mark Rash Jr. and Ryan Rash of Granbury, granddaughters Cristian Martinez of New York and Socorro Martinez of Midlothian, TX, Sister-in-law Elaine Fuller of Alabama, and many nieces and nephews in Texas and Alabama.
Lee will lie in state from 9AM to 7PM Friday, July 17 at the Wiley Funeral Home Chapel. Family will greet guests from 5-7 PM. Funeral Service will be held at 10AM, Saturday, July 18, at Action United Methodist Church. Burial at Acton Cemetery.
