GRANBURY — Leon Douglas Sims, 63, passed away Sunday, Mar. 23, 2014, in Granbury.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Wiley Funeral Home. No services are planned at this time.
Leon was born Sept. 11, 1950, in Spartanburg, S.C., to James Charles Sims, Sr. and Mildred Byrley Sims. He married Rhonda Le’Ann Matlock, Aug. 21, 1991, in Granbury. He served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from the railroad. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, working with the Boy Scouts and camping. Leon loved his family and enjoyed ranching. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Andy Keith Sims.
Survivors: Wife, Rhonda Sims; children, Stephen Douglas Sims and wife, Shelley, Kevin Charles Sims, Cody Ray Sims, Ashley Nichole Sims; grandchildren, Daniel James Sims, Shelby Diane Sims, Triston Thomas Sims; sister, Rose Vallette Batson; brother, James Charles Sims, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
