GRANBURY — Leon Lloyd O’Bryan, 67, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012 after a long hard fought battle with multiple myoloma in Fort Worth. Services will be held at a later date. Leon was born Nov. 11, 1944 in Altha, Florida. He attended high school in Greenwood, Florida and later received an associates degree at San Diego State. He served in the U.S. Navy from Jan. 30, 1962 to Feb. 1, 1968. Leon worked for Solar Turbines, a caterpillar company, for 36 years. He started Overhaul Technician in San Diego, CA and finished his career as a district manager in Salt Lake City, Utah. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, 8111 LBJ Freeway, Suite 425, Dallas, TX 75251 He was preceded in death by his fater, A.L. O’Bryan, mother Juanita Barbano, brothers, John and Robert O’Bryan and grandson, Robert Morrarty. Survivors include: his wife of 30 years, Connie O’Bryan; children: Timothy O’Bryan and Tammy Morrarty; grandchildren: Timothy O’Bryan, Thomas O’Bryan, Brandi O’Bryan and Krysta Morrarty; sisters: Laverne Melton, Nadine Lee, Mary Mason and Patty Bennett; brothers: Jim Bennett and wife Margaret and Rex O’Bryan. Leon, Lee, Dad, Granpa, Lee Bird, Buddy, Uncle Buddy and Leony will be missed by many family and friends. A heartfelt thank you goes out to Dr. Chi Phan and all the oncology staff at Texas Oncology in Fort Worth, Texas.
