Leslie Holt

Leslie Holt, 74, Granbury, passed away on Saturday November 24, 2018. Service: 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 29, 2018, Martin’s Funeral Home Chapel, Granbury; Interment: Holly Hills Memorial Park; Visitation: 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Wednesday November 28, 2018, Martin’s Funeral Home.

Leslie was born on December 30, 1943, Newark, Texas, an only child to Ima and Leslie Holt. Leslie married Dorothy Dodson, January 16, 1976, Madill, Oklahoma. Leslie loved children and even fostered children when he was younger. He loved his grandkids and he was very devoted and loving. Leslie always made holidays special for everyone. He was a devoted Episcopalian his entire life.

He drove the school bus while in Gustine; a Ham Radio Operator; that was his favorite past time and enjoyed art; he was a very good artist. Leslie loved his dogs and all animals, he even raised cattle at one time. Vacations by the ocean were Leslie’s favorite.

Leslie is survived by his wife of 42 years: Dot Holt, Granbury; children: Melissa Sones (Tommy),DeLeon, Tara Upchurch, Granbury, Paul Holt (Josi), Magdalena, New Mexico; grandchildren: David Moore, Jeff Drake, Matthew Sones, Bethany Sones, Bryant Holt, Jami Skinner, Philip Holt and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
