Lila “Dean” Owen was born in Bynum, Texas on February 15, 1934 to Joseph Griffin and Lois York Langford. She grew up in Hillsboro and went to Navarro Junior College and then to Texas Wesleyan University where she received her Teachers/Masters degree. Lila Dean taught school for the Arlington ISD for 30 years. She loved her music, going to concerts and dancing. She loved the Dallas Cowboys. She was a wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother and GiGi .
Lila Dean is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Gene Owen; her daughter, Lesa Kimbrow and husband David Kimbrow; grandchildren, Leah Langley and husband Timothy, Kelsi Musmecci, Dylan Kimbrow and Logan Musmecci; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Morton, Kallan Kimbrow, Kambrie Morton and Degan Kimbrow.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Griffin and Lois Langford.
