October 17, 1954 - February 2, 2016

Lisa Kay Cheney, 61, came to the end of her earthly journey Tuesday February 2,2016.

There will be a celebration of Lisa’s life from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation, P.O. Box 834, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.

Lisa was born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, but soon moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma with her family where she went to work for American Airlines. She relocated to Texas and began her lifelong passion for riding horses and having friends who shared this dream. Lisa accomplished many of her goals only to set the bar higher. Lisa continued riding even during illness. The equestrian world has lost a good friend who was always learning and helping others to discover the magic of the horse. Lisa will be missed by all who got to know her.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie; mother, Doris; sister, Shauna; and a host of family and friends.
