Lola’s life may best be summed up in the following poem from an anonymous author:
Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what’s to be,
A resting place along the road,
To sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way…
We all were meant to learn some things,
But never meant to stay…
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey’s quicker,
For some the journey’s slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We’ll claim a great reward,
And finally an everlasting peace,
Together with the Lord.
Lola loved her family and her church. She was a beacon of light to others and we will remember her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her light continues to shine brightly as we follow her examples of faith, love, joy, ptience and kindness. Lola’s gift to us is best described in the following verse from the Fifth Chapter of Proverbs, verses 5-6:
Turst in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on Your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.
