Loretta Ice Whitworth was born in Stephenville, Texas on December 16, 1930 to Jim and Lillie Ice. She married Joe Gordon Whitworth on November 24, 1945 in Glen Rose and had three daughters; Vicky Whitworth Whitefield (deceased), Sharon Cathey Whitworth and Judy Whitworth Thompson. They were married for 72 years. Loretta taught Sunday School, was the bookkeeper for the family Station and Garage. She was the Babysitter for their 8 Grandchildren. Loretta was Home Room Mother for all of her children’s classes.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillie Davis Ice, father Jim Ice, husband Joe Gordon Whitworth; brothers, Carl Ice, Aubrey Ice, Roy Ice; daughter Vicky Whitworth Whitefield, son-in-law Danny Thompson, niece Carlene Ice English.
Survived by daughters Sharon Cathey Whitworth, and Judy Whitworth Thompson, son-in-law Jim Whitefield, nephew Roy Lee Ice and wife Becky, Grandchildren and spouses Lance Cathey and wife Debbie, Chris Whitefield and wife Tracy, Jill Ellison, Candy Thompson McClure and husband Doug, Matt Whitefield and wife Dusti, Wendy Thompson Homrighaus and husband Stephen, Penny Cathey Lindsey, Jon Whitefield and wife Gaby, Great – grandchildren Dristan, Gage and Lillie Cathey, Cordel and Rheagan Whitefield, Taylor, Trayle and Trinity McClure, Hunter, Holly and Peyton Ellison, Drew and Andi Whitefield, Conner, Corbin, Caysen and Cadee Homrighaus, Gavin and Brice Lindsey; Gaston and Colten Whitefield and many nieces and nephews.
