Loretta (Sissy) Carter, 66, of Granbury, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2020.  Services will be held at a later date.

Sissy was born on May 4, 1954 to Gene and Mary Etta Grant in Levelland, Texas.  She married Bill Carter on October 6, 1978 in Levelland.  They spent many years in Midland before retiring in Granbury.

Sissy was known for her contagious smile and her love for God and family.  She enjoyed hosting 4th of July parties and liked hanging out at the pool with her friends and family.

Sissy truly loved babies especially kissing them.  True joy could be found at Sissy’s home on Christmas Day.  Everyone knew that it was her favorite day of the year.

Sissy enjoyed anything to do with crafting and loved traveling and cruising all over the Caribbean, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.

Sissy is survived by her loving husband Bill Carter; daughter Misty Stanton; son Cody Carter and wife DeDee; grandchildren: Bethany Poynor, Makenzie Poynor, Landyn Carter, Landry Carter, Mason Carter, Maddie Carter, and Noah Carter; great-grandchildren:  Kaizley Sparks, Jaylynn Boen, Rhemmi Poynor, Braxton Dunlap, Kaedrien Poynor, and Ky Daniel and numerous extended family and friends.

Sissy was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Donnie Gene Grant.

Sissy was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Sis & I became friends back in the ‘70s....since she was Jo’s niece & Donnie & I are cousins.....we always claimed to be “kin”....I loved her spirit & I loved her laugh....we did a lot of that when we would hang out as young girls....May the Lord be with you all...Sending Love & Prayers♥️
