TOLAR — L.H. Newlin, 74, passed away Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, in Tolar.
Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Friday, Mar. 2, 2012, at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury. Burial: Asbury Cemetery in Tolar. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials: L.H. Newlin Scholarship Fund with Texas Blown Fuel Association.
Mr. Newlin was born Aug. 1, 1937, in Burnet, Texas, to Page and Velma Lorene Rogers Newlin. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was an avid race car driver with the Texas Blown Fuel Association where he received a life-time acheivement award. L.H. was Mr. Fixit and could fix anything. He also owned the Old Geezer Lawn Care Service in Granbury.
Survivors: Wife, Frances Sharon Newlin; children and spouses, Robert and Amy Newlin, Lytrecia and Kevin Stout, Cindy and Charles Gilbert, Sherry and Clif Robison, Cheryl Pearl, Frank and Andrea Sharon; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and brother, Donny Newlin.
