Lue Dean Fires, 75, of Flower Mound, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019. Service: 10:00 A.M. Monday April 1, 2019, Wiley Funeral Home Chapel, Glen Rose, Texas; Interment: 9:30 A.M. Tuesday April 2, 2019, Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Lue was born on June 29, 1943 in Arkansas to Albert and Goldie Lambert. She married Russell Anderson Fires on April 16, 1970 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was an excellent cook and she made wonderful family meals. She loved to sing and she sang solos at many churches throughout her life. She was an avid reader and she loved a good book. She was preceded in death by her parents, sons: James Edney and Steven Edney, three sisters and one brother.

Lue is survived by her husband: Russell A. Fires, children: Rebecca Dixon and Russell R. Fires and wife Hailey, grandchildren: Sarah Edney, Deena Dixon, Kailyn Fires, and Leah Fires, great-grandchildren: Brandon Dixon and Kaylee Dixon, and siblings: Leroy Lambert and wife Pat, Larry Lambert and wife Gloria, Gene Lambert and wife Donna, and Sharlett Platz and husband Dennis.
