Celebration of Life
A service to celebrate Lyn’s life will be held at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Stephenville on Friday June 30th at 1 pm.
Lyn has gone on her last adventure. She leaves behind her mother, Eleanor Hatch, brothers Glenn and K.C., daughter Danette and son-in-law Dan, granddaughters Jordan and Lilah, as well as nieces and nephews.
Lyn was born in Chadron, Nebraska and lived there until moving to Apple Valley, CA where she went to high school. She attended community college in Wyoming, later finishing her teaching degree at
Chadron State, and was the third generation to attend there. An athlete in high school and college, she was a coach and teacher for years. She taught facts, techniques, and sportsmanship. She loved to go on trips and adventures. She rode motorcycles, horses, drove for road trips, cruised in canoes, skied slopes, and flew to places to see and do. After living in Nebraska, California, Wyoming, and Colorado, she settled in Texas, and found her place.
Lyn was active in the Episcopal Church, serving as a member of the Altar Guild, a Sunday School teacher, and member of the vestry. She loved her St. Luke’s family and will be laid to rest in the Memorial Garden.
