Mabel B. Hansford, age 95, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019. Service: 2:00 PM, Monday, January 28, 2019, Martin’s Funeral Home Chapel; Interment: Emerald Hills Cemetery, Kennedale, Texas; Visitation: 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Sunday, January 27, 2019, Martin’s Funeral Home.

Mabel was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She liked to meet at Fort Phantom Hill Lake to fish. She enjoyed family reunions at Brownwood. Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, one grandchild; one great-grandchild and one grandson-in-law.

Mabel is survived by her children: William Wayne Hansford and wife Betty, Richard Hansford and wife Selina; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

We enjoyed visits with Aunt Mabel at her house in Granbury and looking at the many photo albums that she had. Aunt Mabel had many stories to tell about the family. I always enjoyed getting a postcard from her and getting an update on what was going on. She was the last of her eleven siblings and lived a very good and long life.
