Thursday, April 20, 2017 Marcia Dee McNeill Blackburn was called home by the Lord. A private graveside service will be held Saturday, April 29th at 12:00 cst at the TU cemetery located on the McNeill Ranch in Gaines County, Texas.
Marcia was born September 14, 1939 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Ray and Muriel McNeill. She was raised on the McNeill Ranch. She attended Texas Tech University. On August 20, 1960 she married Patrick Blackburn where together they raised two children, Troy and Aly.
Marcia is survived by her husband, Pat Blackburn, son: Troy Blackburn, daughter: Aly Kelly and husband Mike, grandchildren: Kascha, Karissa, Justin, Mika and Kiffany, great grandson: Kayde, brother: Bill McNeill and wife JoAnn, sister: Marilyn Cates and husband Bill, nieces and nephews: Paige McNeill, Mindi Wright, Clay Cates, Mark Cates, and numerous grand nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Marcia’s name.
