Margaret Amanda Babe Morris Long Struve, 91, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018.
Graveside service: 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Greenwood Memorial Park.
Margaret was a resident of Fort Worth for years. She was born in Wichita Falls on August 29, 1926 to Alpha Dickinson Morris King, and James Wade Morris Jr. Margaret grew up in Chickasha, Okla., later marrying Carl L. Long, who was in the Army. Upon his death, he was a retired Colonel. They had lived in Japan with a daughter, Mary, and about six years later, their second daughter, Deborah, was born. They traveled most of Europe, living in Germany for a few years. Margaret had modeled for magazine covers while living in Japan. She was a brilliant artist, commercial artist, played the piano by ear, and had worked in John Peter Smith Hospital Medical Records from around 1973 to 1995. She was also a member of the “Grass Roots”.
She was a fervent believer in Jesus Christ, and all of His teachings. She was also loved by many, and was known for her gift of humor and wit.
Survivors: Her Daughters, Mary Long Gomez and husband, Jose, and Deborah Long Alviso and husband, Francisco; four granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren, with one on the way; two nephews; and five nieces, and their families.
