Margarita Juarez, 83, passed away, Saturday May 28, 2022, surrounded by loved ones.
A Mass of Christian Burial: 10 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2022 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park
Visitation: 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Biggers Funeral Home with a recitation of the Holy Rosary to commence at 6 p.m.
Margarita was born in Acuña, Mexico, to Matias and Ramona Vasquez. She grew up in Del Rio, TX where she met her husband, Heron. They were happily married for 52 years, before his passing in 2013. As a family they traveled to many countries while he served in the U.S. Air Force. Upon his retirement they built a life in Lake Worth, TX, where she retired from Lake Worth ISD, as a special education aide. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She had a very rich life and was young at heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by husband Heron Juarez; by brothers, Matias, Juan and Guillermo Vasquez; and by sisters, Susana Vasquez and Luz Diaz.
She is survived by her sons, Paul Juarez and wife, Patricia of Rowlett, David Juarez and wife, Anastasia of Grosse Pointe Shores, MI; and daughter, Debbie Smith and husband, DeWayne of Lake Worth; brothers, Liborio and wife, Lucia of Del Rio, Francisco Vasquez of Del Rio; sister Liboria Valadez of Fort Worth; many nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Julia Juarez, Christina Juarez-Brown, Lisa Whittington, Linda Smith and Christopher Smith; great-grandchildren, Abigail and Emily Reyes, Evangeline Brown, Gavin Hatfield, London and Bella Hernandez, Madalynn and Lainey Whittington, and Aidan and Camdon Smith.
