Marjorie (Margie) Ross, 81, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. Graveside service: 1:00 PM, Tuesday, November 6, 2018, Dale Cemetery, McCloud, Oklahoma.
Margie was born on June 29, 1937 in Odessa, Texas to Willard and Dorothy Wise. She was the eldest of eight children. She married Scott Ira Ross on September 30, 1955 in Shreveport, Louisiana. They enjoyed camping in Colorado.
Margie lived in the Granbury area for 45 years and was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church for many years. She was an accomplished artist and a founding member of the Lake Granbury Art Association. Her work was displayed in several art galleries and she instructed many years from her art studio and later for a World Cruise-line organization. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters: Beth and Georgie.
Margie is survived by her children: Charlie Ross and wife Karla of Odessa, and Sherrie Stakes and husband Michael of Granbury, grandchildren: Samuel, Tamara, Andrew, Clifton, and Matthew, great-grandchildren: Max, Ella, Findlay, Cora, Charlotte and Yancy, and siblings: Willard Jr (W. L.), Edie, Patti, Barbie, and Ginger.
