Granbury – Marilyn Grace Parks, a loving and spirited wife, mother, and friend to everyone she met passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012. She was 79 years old.
Memorial Service: A celebration of life ceremony will be held at a later date in Geneva, Ohio.
Marilyn was born in Ashtabula, Ohio, and was married to Robert Kennedy Parks in 1951, enjoying over 60 years of marriage while raising their children in Ohio. After Robert’s retirement, they settled in Florida and later moved to Granbury, Texas. While living in Texas, Marilyn worked for the Granbury school district for several years prior to her retirement. She dearly loved her family and cherished every moment spent with them. Her hobbies included home remodeling, decorating, arts and crafts, and pet sitting.
Survivors: Husband, Robert Parks, son, Tim Parks and wife, Stacy, of Geneva, Ohio, daughters, Linda Boles and husband, Chuck, of Sunnyvale, Texas, Beth Clark and husband, Ronny, of Granbury, Patty Siedal and husband, David, of Granbury; four grandchildren, Mathew Parks, Michael Parks, Adam Parks and Ashley Boles.
