My precious friend I was so blessed to have you as my friend and mentor. Our fun times in Women's Ministry and at the prison sharing God's love will be a precious memory to me. I will miss you but know that I will see you again playing the piano for the Lord. Singing the Love of God with such an anointing like we have never heard before. You have definitely received your reward my friend and I know the Lord and angels are rejoicing that you are home.
Dr. Adonna Otwell left a message on December 7, 2021:
I am still shaking my head in disbelief...this is surreal...Marilyn, we worked so many prayer lines together at the North Texas District Women's Ministries Retreats! I will not speak of you in past tense, because you are more alive than ever, and there is only a thin veil between us and you. I might be a little bit jealous with you, Lillie and Barbara up there, and I didn't get invited. I always knew you to be a true Pentecostal, because you could not stand anything to be called Pentecostal, if it was not. Your encouragement kept me going so many times. I was just talking to you at the North Texas District Council in June...I didn't know you were about to "graduate," especially with your Master's Degree! Marilyn, you left me in shock, but it is wrapping up, and I will see you in days. So "count years as months, count the months as weeks, count the weeks as days, any day now, we TOO will be going home." I will see you 'THERE." You all shout for me, until I can touch down with you. It feels like a little bit of Pentecost shifted upward. Cannot say goodbye, only see you soon. You made me feel loved and special every time I saw you. I knew church was going to be better when you walked in, because you are a carrier of the ministry of PRESENCE. "I love you forever, I like you for always, as long as I live, my Pentecostal friend you will be." "For so an ENTRANCE shall be ministered unto Marilyn ABUNDANTLY into the Kingdom of Heaven...ABUNDANT ENTRANCE--that would be YOU! II Peter 1:11 paraphrase Later, Friend...Adonna Otwell
