Marilynn Oliver

June 18, 1922 - March 3, 2015

Marilynn Oliver, 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, in Keller with her family at her side.

A private memorial service will be held at Biggers Funeral Chapel on Monday, March 9. Burial will be in Dido Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to The Arc of Greater Tarrant County, 5725 Westcreek Drive, Fort Worth, Texas 76133, 817-877-1747.

Marilynn was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on June 18, 1922. She married Robert Oliver on June 22, 1940, and began her family in Cleveland before moving to Fort Worth in 1949. While raising eight children, Marilynn worked in a clerical position for several doctors and St. Joseph’s Pathologists. She and her husband were founding members of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Richland Hills. She was active in the Birdville ARC.

Marilynn was preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. Oliver Sr. and daughter-in-law, Sandra Oliver.

She is survived by her children, Robert Oliver Jr., William Oliver, Alene Owen, James Oliver and wife, Sandy, John Oliver and wife, Madeline, Thomas Oliver and wife, Kathy, Patrick Oliver and wife, Debbie, and Catherine Oliver; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

I worked with Marilynn at St Joseph Pathologists. She was an excellent worker and had a great sense of humor. We always laughed alot. We car pooled for some time and used to stop off at the Belknap Bargain Store for some good shopping times.
