Marion Cooksey

GRANBURY — Marion Scott Cooksey, 65, passed away Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, in Granbury.
Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at Wiley Funeral Home. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brazos River Baptist Church.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Wiley Funeral Home.
Mr. Cooksey was born Dec. 15, 1946, in Fort Worth, to Asa and Wilma Lee Gilliam Cooksey. He married Dolores Leilani Riggs, May 6, 1966, in Arlington. He served as chef at the Cuckoo’s Nest in Granbury for 21 years. Mr. Cooksey had been a resident of Tolar and Granbury for 35 years. He enjoyed fishing, computers and small engine repair. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sonja Cooksey.
Survivors: Wife, Dolores Cooksey; children, Tammy Brown and Todd Stevenson, James Stuart and wife, Pamela; brother, Clifford Lee Cooksey; sister, Cynthia House; grandchildren, Megan Daniel, Mica Brown, Stephen Burke, Christian Stuart, Hanna Stuart, Catherine Stuart; great grandchild, Landry Daniel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
