Mary D. Garlock, 81, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 in Fort Worth.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Friday in Biggers Funeral Chapel.
Interment: Springtown Cemetery.
Mary was born April 29, 1936 in Courtney, Oklahoma to the late, William M. and Leora J. (Scheide) Cook. She grew up in Courtney with her two sisters and came to Fort Worth to work where she met Jack D. Garlock, Sr. They married and raised seven children in a loving home filled with kids, cooking and activity.
Mary loved gardening, flowers, being in the kitchen and family camping trips in East Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her infant sister, Emma Josephine Cook, one son, Tony Garlock, and husband, Jack D. Garlock, Sr in 2000.
She is survived by sons, Jack D. Garlock, Jr. and wife, Lisa of Azle, Curtis W. Garlock and wife, Soven of Sansom Park; daughters, Diana Smith of Fort Worth, Barbara Slaten and husband, Brett of Roanoke, Karen McCrary and husband, Dan of Quitman, Sharon Nichols and husband, Melvin of Plano; sister, Helen Moyer of Burleson; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
