Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Colman, 94, a loving Wife, Mother, Nana, and friend, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 4, 2017, surrounded by family and friends.
Service: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Biggers Funeral Home.
Visitation: 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Biggers Funeral Home.
Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park.

Betty was born November 23, 1922 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Marion and Edison Wayland. She graduated from Gesu Catholic High School in Miami, Florida.
Betty married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Paul Edward Colman on October 11, 1943, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts., at St. Mary of the Morning Star.
Betty was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. She worked as a florist for many years and created beautiful arrangements with her beautiful hands. Betty was the life of any party and enjoyed all forms of dance and music. She was the head cheerleader for all family sports events. She loved all her family deeply and was happiest when preparing festive meals for her family at all holiday occasions.
Betty and Paul loved to travel and she kept hand written detailed logs of many of their road trips. Betty had lived in Hot Springs, Arkansas for ten years, and loved all her friends at Brookdale Ridgmar and Brookdale Westover Hills in the Ft. Worth, Texas area.
The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the staff at Brookdale Westover Hills and VITAS Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.
She is survived by: Sons, Paul Colman Jr. and wife, Linda, and Ronnie Colman and wife, Janice: daughter, Candace Kaler and husband, Dr. Ron Kaler; grandchildren, Jacob, Amy, Becky, Mandy, Allison, Abby, Matthew and Candace; and 15 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
