Mary Francis Melton

Mary Francis Melton, 94, of Granbury, Texas went to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family on May 26, 2017. Memorial will be in Arizona at a later date.

Mary was born on June 12, 1922 in Plainview, Texas to Golda Mae and Leslie Dabney Allen. She married Otis M. Melton in 1941 and started her family. Their son, Otis Gaylon Melton was born on September 27, 1942 and their daughter, Karen Lynn Melton on January 12, 1953.

Their life took them on adventures that landed them residing in New York and California but she ultimately spent the majority of her life in Arizona enjoying friends, family and loved ones. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, a great grandmother and sister. Mary was a beautician by trade but loved her hobbies of sewing, crocheting, bird watching, playing bingo and living at her cabin in the mountains of Christopher Creek, Arizona. Upon being widowed in 1991, she later married Andrew B. Adcock in 2000.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Otis M. Melton and Andrew B. Adcock; her son, Otis Gaylon Melton; brothers,LD, Jerry and Si Allen; and sister, Mildred Sarten.

She is survived by her sister, Betty Bond; brother, John Allen; daughter, Karen Delyea and husband Wayne; granddaughters, Kristin Jaworski and Melissa Williamson and husband Shawn; and great grandson, Cash Williamson. Although she will be greatly missed here on Earth, she is now with our Lord and Savior dancing with the angels.
