Mary Josephine (Jo) James of Granbury, Texas, passed away on March 20, 2020 at the age of 93. She was born on October 6, 1926 in Russellville Ark. to Joseph and Norma Faulkner. She passed quietly in her sleep. Jo had lived in Granbury for 44 years and was a member of the First Methodist Church of Granbury. She was active in the community as a member and past president of the Woman’s Wednesday Club as well as a member and past president of the Pecan Plantation LGA. She enjoyed going to local Elementary schools and helping students learn to read. Jo is preceded in death by her husband Cdr. John W James, USN, Ret. who passed in 2000. She is survived by her three children, her daughter Cynthia James, a local Granbury resident, her son William James of Plano, Texas, and her son and his wife Stephen and Tami James of McKinney, Texas. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
