Mary Lucille Dennis Hard

Mary Lucille Dennis Hard was surrounded by family as she passed away at home on August 23, 2020, after a brief illness. Lucille was 88 years old. She was born Mary Lucille Eubanks on June 5, 1932 in Taft, Arkansas to Otto and Lula Eubanks, moving to North Texas a few years later. Lucille married Dee Dennis in 1952; they remained inseparable until his passing in 1991. Lucille loved her work as a banker, particularly her more than 20 years of service at First National Bank of Granbury. She had a soft spot for her grandsons, often loading them up with new toys and sweets as they left her house. This affinity for gift-giving was eventually shown to her five great-granddaughters and great-grandson. Lucille and Dee greatly enjoyed camping with their family throughout the years; her family will forever cherish the memories of long games of chickenfoot dominoes and Dr. Pepper. She was also an avid sports fan, often found rooting for her Texas Longhorns football team or the Texas Rangers.

Lucille was a member of Granbury First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dee Dennis. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Wenrich and her husband Kurt Wenrich. She is also survived by her grandson, Casey Oliver and his wife Lissa Oliver; grandson Chase Campbell and his wife Sophie Campbell; grandson Clay Campbell and fiance Amanda Covell; 5 great-granddaughters and 1 great-grandson, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Service: 10:00 AM, Thursday, Wiley Funeral Home Chapel, Granbury with the viewing from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Graveside service: 1:00 PM, Thursday, August 27, 2020, Laurel Land Memorial Park, Fort Worth
