Sending many prayers and condolences during this difficult time. "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18, May you be lifted in prayer and Gods grace surround your broken hearts.
Mat & Dana Haskins left a message on July 6, 2019:
The day prior, Matt & Courtney we’re driving their boat by our dock. All I could see was this guy with arms wide open, smile bigger than Texas, hollering out as they were pulling up to our dock to say hi. We were just getting to know you better. My husband, Mat, had missed his call the day before and, sadly, never got to return the call, but it would have been a discussion all about flying which he seemed so passionate about. We are sorry to lose a member of the pilot family, and express our deepest condolences to the Palmer family, friends, & all he was dear to. Our hearts go out to you.
Ronald Weir left a message on July 5, 2019:
Condolences to the grieving family and the friends of Matt from Barbara and I. We had never met Matt, but we can tell from just the few condolences already posted that with Matt's passing, another light has gone out in our world. Hoping for God's love and grace for Matt and family.

I just wanted to express my sincere condolences to the Palmer family. With this past week our families both experiencing a loss of our child, I have just realized all this time I have not taken time out to say how sorry I am for your loss. Our children all attended Boswell together and the classmates are in such a grieving stage right now with losing more classmates, this breaks my heart for them. We will continue lifting up your family in our prayers.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

There are few kids that grow up who embody the best qualities of each parent. I felt that about Matt. He was always smiling, he was heartfelt in every action, his smile could light up a room. He was not only smart, he was passionate about using those smarts in everything he did. I am so glad that he wed the love of his life and they shared that beautiful heart as one. My heart is so broken both the loss of this young man, and for what that loss is bearing on his family and close friends. Love and strength to you all.

I got to know Matt on a mission trip to Mexico. His smile, energy and love of the kids made our trip one of the memorable mission trips. To Courtney I still remember the twinkle in his eyes when he looked at you as you both played games with kids. To his parents, you raised a remarkable man. I pray for God’s comfort for you all.

Mike, Vicki, Lindsey & Lauren - My heart and prayers go out to you all and Courtney for your loss. It is with deep sadness that I learn of Matthews death. I met him only once at your house on the lake. His deep sense of graciousness touched me sincerely. When I have thought about you over these years, he and his sisters are part of that memory. Reading through the other condolences, I can see how he touched so many others in the same way. I will pray for Matthew, and for each of you to find the healing solice to assuage your grief. Much love, Joe (Anne, Jack & Charlie) Burnell

Cindy and Mike Baker left a message on July 3, 2019:
My first encounter with Matt was when he was a high school senior and applied for a college scholarship from the company I worked for. The character and tenacity represented in his essay by such a young man makes it one I never forget, even thousands of essays read, and many years later. Needless to say he was awarded the scholarship! Fast forward to re-acquainting with him last year when he was doing some work for our pastor, and after marrying our friend’s granddaughter. The same quality of character was still exhibited in every word of our conversation. When the Son shines, the son shines. Rest In Peace Matt, and may God bring peace and comfort to Courtney and all of your special family.
Cheryl Anton left a message on July 3, 2019:

MJ was such a light to all the youth! I was privileged to go on Mission with him a couple of years ago. We were never strangers. Such a great kid and sweet man of God! My prayers are with the family on this great loss.
Pam and Don Cosby left a message on July 3, 2019:
What a guy! Always a smile and always a cross around his neck. We got to know Matthew pretty well this spring and summer as he was working on our sprinkler system. He would tell you it is the system from you know where and we probably owe him about a million dollars! He never gave up. He would get it going and then it would quit. On that Sunday morning he had texted Don at 8:45 to say he would come by our house if he got back from his flight in time. He was always happy to have some cookies when I was baking. He could disciple to you just by looking at you. We will miss him so much and pray for comfort for Courtney and the whole family.
