Melvin Todd

GRANBURY — Melvin R. Todd, 70, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013, in Granbury.
Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Mambrino Baptist Church. Burial: Nubbin Ridge Cemetery in Hood County. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Memorials: Gifts in Melvin’s memory may be made to any local youth sports organization or to American Heart Association.
Mr. Todd was born July 28, 1942, in Mt. Ida, Ark., to Marion Blakely Todd and Ida Lee Ramsey Todd. He married Nelda Pringle, March 24, 1968, in Fort Worth. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of Mambrino Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge #392. Melvin worked for the Brown and Root Construction Co. for over 30 years. Melvin was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings, William Earl Todd, Margaret Louise Mayberry, Marion Duell Todd, G.B. Todd, Paul Dean Todd and Terry Lee Todd.
Survivors: Wife, Nelda Todd of Granbury; daughter, Tracy McIntier and husband, Paul, of San Antonio; sons, David Greenwell and Kevin Greenwell, both of Granbury; grandchildren, Heather, Monica, Kaylon, Alex, Taylor, Clay, Nicholas, Blaine, Amber, Todd, Chaney, Sophie; four great grandchildren; brother, Grady Todd and wife, Linda, of Kennedale; sisters, Joyce Smith of Mt. Ida, Ark., Mary Alldredge of Winter Haven, Fla.
