Michael was born May 6, 1987 in Fort Worth, Texas to Gerald Martin and Cheryl Higdon Johnston. He graduated from Santo High School. He received his automotive mechanics degree from Texas State Technical College. He was passionate about race cars and worked on them at Team Texas Performance Driving School.
Michael enjoyed life and lived life every day as if it was his last. He was always happy and smiling, and had lots of friends. He was very giving, never met a stranger and was loved by all. He was very smart, talented, and gifted. He will be missed by all. Michael was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Albert Higdon, Robert Martin, and James Mitchell.
Survived by his mom: Cheryl Johnston, dad: Gerald Martin, brothers: William Martin, Hayden (Melissa) Martin, nephew: Ryder Martin, grandmothers: JoAnn Mitchell and Bobbie Martin, and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Michael was my husbands cousin. I met him a little over 3 years ago. He was a very social, very kind and relatable person. If I could chose one word to describe him, it would be Hilarious.
