Mona Pauline Ledbetter Griffice, 95, passed away on Thursday; September 24, 2020 in Granbury.
She was born August 31, 1925 in Fort Worth, Texas to Luckey and Vada Golden Ledbetter.
Mona loved laughing and going on great adventures and road trips with her family. She enjoyed quilting, fishing, and playing games such as slapjack and wahoo.
Mona was a member of Long Creek Baptist Church in Granbury and Sherwood Baptist Church in Odessa where she was the treasurer, a Bible School teacher and looked after the “Gray Gang”.
Mona was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles Wayne Griffice and by a son, Jerry Don Griffice.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Michael Griffice and wife Shirley and Ricky Wayne Griffice and wife Minnie; grandchildren, Johnny Griffice, Candy Moore and husband Ronnie, Garland Griffice, Windy Hudson, Amanda Hext and husband Jeff and Jimmy Griffice and by five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2PM. to 4PM. Sunday; September 27, 2020 at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM. Monday; September 28, 2020 at Lohn Cemetery near Brady, TX. with visitation at the cemetery from 1-2PM under the direction of Wiley Funeral Home.

Polly was the best friend to my mother, Bettie Buford, for the entire time that we lived on 51st Street in Odessa TX. They often spent time together after all the kids went to school. Polly and Bettie remained good friends after we moved away and Mom attended the Griffice family reunions in Lohn often so that she could see Polly again. I like to think that they are laughing together in heaven now. Polly was a sweet, loving, giving person and she will be missed.
