Bud would often point out that Terri his wife was the love of his life during their 53 years of marriage. Everyone they encountered could see the admiration he had for her and he often called her “his Terri”. Bud and Terri met at a church youth group when Bud was sixteen and Terri was fifteen. Bud began his married life with Terri by serving in the Air Force during the Vietnam War as an electrician and carried this trade throughout his life. They enjoyed being adventurous and took numerous motorcycle trips on their Harley-Davidson touring all forty-eight states on the mainland and Washington D.C.
Bud enjoyed volunteering and helping others. He was a true history buff and a patriot that loved his country. He participated in various Veteran organizations and was deeply involved with the Missing in America Project. He loved the Lord and was an active member in the church. You would find him assisting in various ways and adored working in the nursery till his final days. He relished being around children and believed that children are to be loved and valued.
Bud made a positive impact with everyone he met and was a mentor to many. He could hold a conversation on many different subjects and when asked give invaluable advice. We are all better by knowing him and being part of his life.
He was met by his father Frank Bade Thieme Sr., grandson Enzo, and many others in heaven. Survived by his mother Dema Thieme; wife Terri Thieme; daughters Tricia Duarte with husband John, Katherine Thompson with husband Tim along with their children Connor, Brendan, Seamus, Declan, and Clancy, and Christie Cassaro with husband Allan along with their children Jennifer, Jason, Timothy, Emma, Vivian, Samuel, Frank, MiaLucia, and Romio; great grandchildren Violet, Wolfgang, Oliver, Roguen, and Islay; sisters Carol and Cindy.
