Nell Cole Davis

Nell Cole Davis, 83, of Glen Rose, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018. Service: 11:00 A.M., Friday, August 3, 2018, Wiley Funeral Home Chapel, Glen Rose, Visitation: 6:00 – 8:00 P.M., Thursday, August 02, 2018, Wiley Funeral Home, Glen Rose, Interment: Nancy Smith Cemetery, Glen Rose.

Nell was born on February 23, 1935 in Morgan, Texas to Arnold and Fannie (Shaver) Cole. She married John B. Davis on October 24, 1978 in Comanche, Texas. They were married 27 years before John passed away in 2006.

Nell was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved spoiling her grandchildren. Her favorite things to do were dancing, gardening, canning and baking. She enjoyed spending time with her dog Chilly and being a member of the Elks Lodge.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, and son: Michael DeWayne Roye; sisters: Sue Cole, Mary Jane Earley and Virgie Bailey; and brothers: Barney Cole and Bud Cole.

Nell is survived by her daughters: Darla Shelley and Jan Ramirez and husband Rito; grandchildren: Troy Ramirez, Traye Ramirez and Tammy Bigham; great -grandchildren: Emilio, Arren, Brittany, Lindsay, Beau, Alexis and Hayden; and great-great-grandchildren: Gracelyn and Preston.
