Nona Walden

Nona Maxine Walden, 86, passed away September 7, 2017. A memorial service will be held at a time to be determined on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at City Park.
Nona was born November 12, 1930 in Oklahoma to Danny and Dillah Walden. When she was 16 years old, she got her first job as a soda jerk girl at a pharmacy in Stephenville. It was love at first sight when Raymond saw her there. Nona was a loving mother. She was an awesome baker and she canned homemade jams and jellies. She also worked as a waitress at a truck stop. She was preceded in death by husband, Raymond Darrell “R.D.” Burnett, sons: James Rayland Burnett and Darrell Winston Burnett, parents and sisters: Margarite Miller and Naomi Bright.
Survivors: daughter, Nona Alliene Burnett, daughter-in-law: Sarah Burnett, grandchildren: Marci Annette Tiller, Mary Wyche and partner Kari, Robert Nichols and fiancé Lynne Hoage, Ray Nichols and wife Jolene, Darrell Burnett II and wife Reema, Sharon Cuccia and husband Joseph, and Deserae Good and husband Matt, great grandchildren: Kevin Delaney Neugent, Kristin Neugent, Marcus Nichols, Ryan Nichols, Alayna Nichols, Alexander Burnett, Colin Cuccia, Emerson Cuccia, Lucas Cuccia, Presley Good, Blake Good, Grace May, and Braden May and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.
