Normajean was born on October 1, 1936 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She died peacefully with her family near, close to the home she and her husband, Stuart, built in her adopted hometown of Granbury. Normajean’s passion for enjoying life was second only to her passion and dedication to her family and friends. Survived by her husband, children, grandchildren and her brothers and sisters, Normajean was the planner and co-coordinator for frequent family functions with her sisters. She took great joy in entertaining family and friends with uniquely themed parties and small get-togethers; never letting an opportunity pass to share a toast, a meal or a good clean joke.
Normajean was always up for a challenge, especially when that challenge was sports or business. Always a gracious winner, Normajean definitely preferred winning and excelled at any sport she tried; tennis, golf, alpine/water skiing, scuba diving and karate- earning her brown belt at 45. She was a successful and sensible businesswoman, with a keen entrepreneurial spirit. She helped build and operate two restaurants, a children’s shoe store and an eyewear distributor which is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Normajean always knew what she wanted, and how she wanted it, as details large and small never went unnoticed or unattended. Her attention to detail gave her the skills and confidence to design her Granbury home, named
