Olivia Louise Keeton was born to Harlan and Olive Faulkenberry, October 20, 1946. Olivia, also known as Livvy, was born in the back seat of the car halfway between Georgetown, CA and Auburn, CA. or born “enroute”. This set the tone for Livvy’s life of adventure and travel.
Livvy followed her parents to Idaho Falls, Idaho, in 1972. In 1975 she met Jack M. Keeton, the love of her life, her best friend and her soul mate. Jack and Livvy raised their children Mike Keeton and Lisa Keeton in Idaho Falls, where they enjoyed the outdoors and activities such as hunting, fishing and camping.
In 1985 Jack and Livvy moved with his job to the Chicago area where they fell in love with the game of golf. After many moves they ultimately arrived in DeCordova. Livvy actively played, enjoyed golf and winning tournaments until the last few years when physical problems hampered her play and enjoyment of the game. But Jack and she continued to travel, play games together and enjoyed the shows and fun at the casinos. She was a loving, caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family dearly, but never felt that she could spend enough time with them.
She left behind her devoted husband and best friend, Jack Keeton, children Michael Keeton and his wife Dona Keeton, Lisa Keeton, sister Susie Persons, grandchildren Colton, Conner, Bridger, Alexandra and Ben, and 3 great-granddaughters. She was surrounded by a host of loving friends from DeCordova Bend. Thank you to all who have shared their thoughts, prayers and comfort with the family.
A celebration of her life will be held at Acton United Methodist Church on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. No gifts or flowers please. Donations can be made to Acton United Methodist Benevolence Committee.
