To the Sabin family; please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. Gene was an outstanding American, soldier and friend. He trained hundreds of soldiers during his career to protect and serve our country. He worked long hours to accomplish any mission we were given. It was a pleasure and honor to work with him at 2/112 AR BN 49th Armored Division TXARNG. I can't express how saddened I am at his loss. As my Gunner he was always ready for a Fire Command. So all I can say is "Gunner sabot tank" and as he would reply so often, "Identified" and "On the way". He never missed his target. My prayers go out to him and you. God Bless.
