Pamela Cheryl Moore Garcia, 61 of Aledo, after a long fight with cancer, passed
away on October 24, 2018, at home surrounded by her family in Fort Worth, Texas.
Pamela Cheryl was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Yvonne Ethel and William H. Jr
Moore. Pamela Cheryl grew up in Aledo, Texas, where she loved being outside,
riding horses, following and torturing her brothers and playing and exploring
life with their many, many cousins.
After she graduated from Aledo High School in
1975 she went to cosmetology school and began her adult life. Over the years she
moved to a few different states, married a couple of times, made many great
friends, and held many different jobs, but the most important job to her was that
of a mother and later a grandmother. She was a mother and basically a father to
three girls, who she raised to be as strong and independent as she was. For most
of their lives, it was the four of them against the world. She taught them that
they could do anything they put their minds to, are stronger than they could
ever believe, and loved more than anything in the world. When her grandkids came,
she loved each of them with all her heart and she was also their rock and heart.
Pamela Cheryl was preceded in death by her mother and father, Yvonne and Jr
Moore, and by her brother Steve Moore.
Pamela Cheryl will be forever remembered, loved, and dearly missed by her
daughters, Lucinda Hanks and husband Ricky; Monica Parker and husband
Marcos, and Vanessa Parker. By all seven of her grandchildren, Miguel, William,
Raven, Enrique, Phoenix, Ezekiel, and Isabella, who will carry on her legacy. By
her brother Ted Moore, and fortunately, too many beloved cousins, nieces,
nephews, strays and lifelong friends to list or even count. Pamela Cheryl was
one of a kind and touched so many lives, she will forever be missed.
Memorials: In lieu of the traditional viewing and funeral, we are following Pamela’s wishes
and instead are having a Celebration of life dinner and get together, to
remember, to comfort, to honor, and to share memories. It will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at
Monica Parker’s house, 5316 Anderson Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76105.
