Patsy Crowe, 74, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 24, 2012, from complications due to Alzheimer’s.
Funerals services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at 2 p.m. in Loving Cemetery in Loving. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Patsy was born in Jean, Texas, and then graduated from Wichita Falls High School. She got married, started a family and moved to Fort Worth in 1964. She began her 30-year career with Southwestern Bell in 1969 where she started as an operator in downtown Fort Worth. She retired in 1999 as the executive vice president of the Communication Workers of America Local Union #6201.
Her joys in life were her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Her favorite things were gardening and her poodle, Nattie. She was a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys.
She was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Crowe; father, Walter Woods; and a brother, Gordon Woods.
She is survived by her mother, Eillene Dickens; sister, Lynda Edmonson; brother, Pete Woods; daughter, Lisa Crowe Beard and husband, Keith; grandchildren, Loran Wilburn and husband, Justin, Branson Hutchens and wife, Brittany, Dakota Crowe, and Troy Beard and Travis Beard; great-grandchildren, Lindee and Westin Wilburn; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
