Patsy R. (Pat) Harpster, 86, passed away Monday September 28, 2020. She was born December 3, 1933 in Wichita, Kansas to Ruth and W.J. Rudrauff. Pat graduated from Kansas State University and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. In 1955 she married Lieutenant Milton Harpster (United States Air Force) and they had three children: Joye, David, and Michael.
As a military wife for over 30 years, Pat was active in a wide variety of organizations and held many offices. She was cashier and manager of base thrift shops, worked in Family Services, was a Teen Club Advisor, held many offices in Officer’s Wives Clubs, was active in PTA, as well as many social activities.
After military life, Pat and Milt moved to Garland, Texas prior to moving to Granbury in 1990. Since moving to Granbury, Pat has been an active member of the Acton United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Republican Women’s Club, and DCBE Women’s Club. She was president of each of these organizations and was one of the four founders of DCBE Women’s Club. She was also an active member of Women’s Wednesday Club.
Her dear husband, Milt, passed away in 2000. In 2003, Pat met her beloved partner, John Desmond. They committed their lives to each other in 2004, and enjoyed their senior years together.
Survived by her children: Joye Condron, David Harpster and wife Pam, Michael Harpster and wife Wendy; grandchildren: Katherine, Elizabeth, Bryan, Kelly, Daniel, Stephanie, Christopher and Scott; great grandchildren: Jayse, Logan and Ava.
Pat thanked God each day for the many blessings bestowed on her.
