Paul Anderson Tallant, 84, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2012, in Bridgeport.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday in Biggers Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Worth. Interment: New Hope Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Paul lived his life just as the Apostle Paul exhorted in 1 Thessalonians 4:11: “…to make it your ambition and endeavor to live quietly and peacefully…” Paul was a man of few words, but always expressed encouragement and love to those around him. He was especially fond of spending time with his daughters and grandkids. An avid fisherman, Paul eagerly taught his grandchildren to fish. Also known for his love for farming, he could often be found atop his tractor.
He and his wife of 59 years, Joyce, moved to Boyd in 1972. Paul enjoyed a successful career at TXI, where he began as a driver at age 19 and retired as a shop foreman 41 years later.
Paul will be sorely missed by his loved ones for his quiet strength, love and devotion. He was a blessing to all who knew him.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; daughter, Connie; grandson, Craig; and siblings, Ernest, Delia, Peggy, Betty, Kenneth, Jerry and Edward.
H is survived by his daughters, Carolyn Read and her husband, Gary, of Bridgeport and Debbie Garner and her husband, Gary, of Azle; brother, Jimmy Tallant; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
