Paula Long

Paula Long, 71, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019. Service: 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 11, 2019, Acton United Methodist Church, Visitation: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Friday, May 10, 2019, Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Acton UMC or Project-44 www.project-44.org
Paula was born on March 10, 1948 in Wichita, Kansas to Paul and Breta Jones. She married Douglas Long on September 18, 1982 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She cherished her family and thoroughly enjoyed doing things with and for her grandchildren.
Paula was a member of Acton United Methodist Church for 11 years. She taught pre-school there for ten years and she enjoyed time spent with the children.
Paula loved reading, crafting, and talking on the phone. Shopping was one of her favorite pursuits. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister: Cindy Baughman.
Paula is survived by her husband of 36 years, Doug Long, children: Kelly Freedman and husband Robert, Zachary Long and partner Kristie Gutknecht, grandchildren: Noah Freedman, Zoe Freedman, and Mia Freedman, nephew: Scott Baughman and wife Echo, niece: Mandy Badyna and husband Steve, and great-nephews and great-nieces: Justice Baughman, Noble Baughman, Owen Badyna and Millie Badyna.
