BLUFF DALE — Philip Miller, 84, passed away Tuesday, Apr. 3, 2012, in Fort Worth.
Funeral: 4:00 p.m. Friday at Wiley Funeral Home. Rosary: 5:00 p.m. Thursday at Wiley Funeral Home, visitation with family and friends following.
Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth for the benefit of the Seminarian Burse, for the continued education and formation of seminarians for the Diocese of Fort Worth.
Mr. Miller was born May 31, 1927, in Nazareth, Texas, to Phil and Geneva Drerup Miller. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of St. Brendans Catholic Church in Stephenville and attended St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Granbury. Philip was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid pilot and an entrepreneur. Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, J.H. Miller, and a sister, Betty Mae Lane.
Survivors: Children, Deborah Miller of Village Mills, Texas, Phyllis Arnold of Fort Worth, Dwayne Miller and wife, Debbie, of Comanche; grandchildren, Preston Thrash, Houston Holmes, Lexi Arnold, Rachel Miller, Brady Miller; great granddaughter, Brianna Wall; girlfriend, Margie Koen; sisters, Alma Lois Thomas of Conway, Ark., Dorothy Weil and husband, Leo, of Hale Center, Texas; brother, Buster Miller of Hereford, Texas.
